  The best tour guide / escort you will ever have in Bali! - I visited Bali for 10 days with 6 of my friends for a girls trip. Dewa was our guide the entire trip, and I couldn't be more thankful for him... read more and the experience he showed us. He was suggested to us from multiple friends who had hired him the past 2 years.

Dewa was waiting for us with the biggest smile at the airport with a sign that said my name (it was so easy to find him). He brought 2 cars, 1 for us girls and 1 for our suitcases, and drove us to our hotel. He was beyond friendly and knowledgable of everything in Bali from the start. And we always felt safe with him!

He helped create the most PERFECT itinerary based on what we wanted to do. He took us to see the most beautiful waterfalls, hikes, restaurants, temples, and any adventure you can think of around/outside the Ubud area. One day he drove us to and from a beach, and he stayed/waited there for us for 5+ hours. He even drove 2 hours from Ubud to Seminyak to take us back to the airport our last day.

His car is sparkling clean. He carries water bottles in a cooler in his car FOR FREE. He also has a variety of good music! 🙂

We all cried leaving him because he is the most genuine human being we have ever met. Not only did we have the most amazing experience in Bali, but we made a best friend! 🙂

We were met at the airport by Dewa... read more and on the way to the hotel in Ubud we asked him about hiring him as a tour guide for a couple of days and soon agreed a schedule which suited what we wished to do.

Dewa is a charming man. Extremely courteous and is a very safe driver. He is most knowledgeable about the history of the various temples and is always happy to detour from the schedule of you change your mind about things, as long as it’s feasible do so time-wise. He is always on hand and happy to assist taking photos etc.

There are many private hire tour guides in Bali but you should consider Dewa without hesitation. We were very happy to have him as our driver/guide for two and a half days of our stay in Bali.

Dewa provided us with sample iteneraries since we had no idea what we wanted to do. We created our own combining a few of what he sent and he had no problem adjusting to fit what we preferred and knew exactly what times to go to each stop. His prices were extremely reasonable and the best deal for your dollar for what you get beyond just being driven around Bali. Dewa was always on time, provided water, food to feed koi fish, picked great lunch spots, always had the best smile and the friendliest personality, took great pictures, always offered a helping hand, and gave us so much background information on Bali, the culture, the history, facts about where we were headed to, and even about his personal life! As two 22 year old girls traveling Asia alone I felt extremely safe with Dewa and I know my friend would say the same. I can whole heartedly say that Dewa was my favorite part of Bali, and Southeast Asia overall . I don’t care what else you’ve heard he is the best driver/person on the island! The only regret I have is not having enough time to go to his house to meet his family and have dinner with them... something we will have to do when we come back!
